Janelle’s Boho Basics

One of the best kept secrets trending with accessories today are chain headpieces. They are the perfect way to take your look from simple and casual to Bohemian chic!

I recently picked up this super cute and affordable gold chain headpiece from one of my favorite accessory stores, Francesca’s, and immediately became inspired to create a modern Bohemian look, you know, one without the Birkenstocks and feather earrings : )  I thought, who better to model this fantastic find than Ms. Bohemia herself, my best friend Janelle!

What I love most about this look is how versatile it is because you can recreate this outfit with almost anything in your closet! These basic pieces will allow you to mix and match colors and styles in a variety of ways. All you need is a long maxi, a crop top, some simple gold accessories, and you’ll be oh so stylish.

Style Tips: Try wearing a cropped jean vest with your bohemian look to add an edgy flare or try pairing it with a gold clutch or leather jacket to take your look from day to evening.

One thing I love about this skirt is the side slit. This detail adds such a cute and simple spin on a traditional maxi, not to mention the fact that it was such a steal! Only $10 from Charlotte Russe.

A lot of women may feel that they can’t pull off a statement look like the chain headpiece, but don’t be afraid to take the plunge! I’m always looking to try on new trends, whether they are safe or outlandish, you never know what will work out and make you stand out!
