Since blazers are the theme for my posts this week, I wanted to style my sister in another all black look that is perfect for a winter night out. Whether you are going to the city, trying to decide what to wear for NYE, or just simply tired of wearing your same boring black blazer to work every week, this is a quick and simple outfit you can put together with pieces that you already have in your closet!
Style Tips: When you are putting together an all black look, make sure to incorporate different textures, such as this black sequined top or suede booties, to keep the outfit interesting.
If you aren’t typically a fan of monochrome looks, there are plenty of variations that you can experiment with next time you go searching through your closet. Try swapping this sequined top with a bold colored blouse or try wearing a white or bright colored blazer. (Cobalt blue is another one of my favorite colors this season!). A colorful clutch or purse is another easy way to change up this type of look.
There’s nothing like a bold lip color to tie together any outfit. Try a bright cherry lip, as shown with Lindsay’s outfit, or a deep burgundy and your makeup will be oh so on trend this winter.
I love booties! They are my go to shoes for most of my winter looks and are a great investment piece.
Remember, simplicity goes a long way! If you find yourself wearing something sparkly or flashy, tone down your jewelry or accessories. This Michael Kors necklace is a cute and simple way to dress up the outfit without looking too flashy or drawing attention away from the key pieces.
